  • Part-time opportunity - 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday

City of Newcastle (CN) is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Educator (Certificate III) to support the team at our Beresfield Community Children’s Education Centre on a part-time basis, working 9:30am-1:30pm Monday to Friday. You will help with both the design and implementation of appropriate and individualised developmental programs for the lovely children attending our centre.

At the centre we strive to provide a space which respects and nurtures the uniqueness and potential of each child. We actively promote the early years as a time of discovery, exploration, and the development of skills which will be drawn upon in all stages of life.

Working within a team, you’ll be responsible for offering meaningful learning experiences to engage children’s interests, creating and maintaining appropriate physical environments supporting their interests and activities, and utilising available materials and equipment to create learning opportunities. You’ll also act as a role model, employing appropriate strategies and techniques, as required, to guide children’s behaviour, creating a harmonious learning environment.
