City of Newcastle (CN) is looking for a Senior Urban Planner to join our Planning, Transport & Regulation team (PTR), reporting to the Urban Planning Section Manager.

What’s it like working in our Planning, Transport & Regulation (PTR)?
PTR leads strategic land use planning, development assessment, regulatory and compliance functions, and processes to facilitate, enable and regulate development and related activities across the Newcastle Local Government Area.
PRT has significant direct community and stakeholder engagement through its land use planning, development assessment and regulatory functions.
What’s the focus of this position?
As a Senior Urban Planner, you will be managing the development and currency of strategic urban planning strategies, instruments, policies, plans and reports from inception to implementation. This includes the management of large complex visionary projects to implement the Greater Newcastle Metropolitan, project plan development, identification of resource requirements and engagement and management of consultants and the community.
