  • Temporary Full-Time Opportunity until February 2023.

City of Newcastle (CN) is looking for an experienced Technology Business Partner to join the IT team in a temporary tenure until 1 February 2023, focusing on the delivery of IT services. In this role, you will oversee the integration, quality improvement, and ways of working of all IT teams across CN.

As the Technology Business Partner, you will be coordinating and developing council’s computing environment while ensuring adequate IT service and support is in place across all directorates. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality service, ensure accessibility, and establish methodologies that will see CN moving towards an Agile environment. You will monitor for cost efficiencies, look after a significant component of the IT budget, identify service improvements, while maintaining the maintenance, upgrades, and deployment documentation handled by IT.

You will resolve complex and sometimes obscure IT problems by utilising a wide range of practical experience and resources. In addition, you will monitor and escalate requests, investigate incidences and escalations, report on IT Service performance, and manage external service providers and their SLA performance.

As the Technology Business Partner, you will champion cultural change and aim to enhance technology capabilities and you will continuously improve the service unit and ensure programs across the business are embedded, sustainable, and optimised.

Remuneration: $104,291.62 + 10.5% Superannuation per annum for a 35-hour week.
